So, a tragedy strikes the Stevens' house hold once again. This time it was rape.
A close family friend(who happens to be lesbian) was raped by her ex-boyfriend. We know them both. She just got out of the hospital on Sunday night, and right now is at Sandy's house. She had a few years sober, and now she's been completely plastered non-stop since it happened. The cops can't find him, so now everyone's panicing that he's going to come back and do it again.
I don't really know how to feel about the whole deal. It's just put me on a real man-hating tangin, that had been brewing for a while now. Just think, every six seconds someone is being raped. When will my time come? Who's going to be next? Brynne? Angela? Jasna? My sister? (well, my younger one, both of the older sisters have been before, Nikki twice)
And then I find out that a close male friend of mine has been molested. I found out in the worst possibal way, goodness I probably looked like a complete ass. I accidentally made a joke about it, and all of a sudden our table of three just went completely silent. That's when I realized, because I had heard something about it before, but didn't really pay to much attention. Well, now I know for sure. It's weird how such young people have lived through so much. Kind of profound in a way.
Today was just a not so good day. Alex stood up to Maddie Roberts for me though, that was really nice of him. I love Alex(S), he's good to me. I'm finally winding down this lovely evening, hopefully by the time I get on later this evening I can write about stuff with a little bit more subsance.
I fell asleep last night, and didn't get my biology poster thing done, so I did it in LS today. Only the color printer didn't work, so I couldn't hand it in. Now I have to give it to her late tomorrow. I'm completely stressing out over homework, I have so much to do. I have to look up some stuff for World History later tonight, joy.
I'm going to go now, finish checking my e-mail and all. I hope I get to write later. Sign the big book. Bye Bye.
